Isolation Gratification: Day 37

At 3:30 AM this morning I was startling awoken by a blaring alert on Bart's phone that sat me straight up in bed. Now what Utah? Are we like the Egyptians. Is the Lord is just going to send us more plagues? My heart was thumping so hard and I grabbed his phone and saw an amber alert. Poor kid who may have been kidnapped but Whew!!! Mary if you read this and have any power with the National Broadcasting alert people you should inform them that during Pandemics and Earthquakes our hearts can't take amber alerts in the middle of the night. My adrenaline was pumping so hard I couldn't go back to sleep.

A couple of days ago Jane was looking over my blog and told me that this years book is going to be so long and boring because we aren't doing anything. Well I'm thankful to have long and boring right now because I don't want to be handling any more turbulent events right now.

Man, ain't that the truth! I've said for years that I aspire to be boring. Sure got my wish this past month+!

I got it at 3:30 AM and then again at 3:30 PM, even though the girl and the birth mother had been found. DPS says they are going to stop these wireless Amber Alerts until they can figure out the glitches.

A: Girl Bus drivers can be mean but there is only 2 ways a woman bus driver can be. I'm not feeling very good today and need to stay home. (Jane 2023) M: (driving home from Bart's parents house). OK guys when we get home we need to do Come Follow me. E: Really? M: that's cool (thinking its the signs they teach them to help remember the words) B: (during the primary program songs Spencer in all of his glory was following along with the chorister, Bart leans over). What is he doing? M: Leading the music. Spencer's just being Spencer (afterwards the couple in charge of the sacrament music came up and said Spencer is so adorable leading the music. Who taught him how because he was right on beat) (Nov 2021) S: (singing I am a Child of God and got to the part that says 'and so my needs are great). And so my knees are grey (October 2021) E: Oh fork M: Emily your mouth. E: Mom I don't swear I utensil. (Sept 2021) A: (feeling sad and anxious in sacrament meeting about his pending talk in primary). Mom could you have another baby so I can cuddle it. M: Sorry I'm too old to have more babies. A: Well then can't you adopt one? M: No our family is complete but you can always cuddle all the new cousins. A: (big sigh). OK but I just wish one was ours(Aug 2021) S: (after the tooth fairy came and doubled his reward for letting Bart pull out both lower teeth). Man if the next time the tooth fairy comes and I only get coins I'm for sure not letting dad pull anymore teeth. Just not worth it for that (Aug 2021) G Dick: (after hearing G Becky read a facebook post from the farm Bureau about fasting/prayer for the drought). Well I'm going to start praying for wind because the more I pray for rain all I get it wind. Maybe if I pray for wind the rain will come. M: I love them they are the best

S: Well I really wanted to give you the pink flowers but dad said they are poisonous.

M: (in my head. Ha ha I bet Bart's poisonous means too expensive). (May 2021)

M: (Aaron wears the same couple of hoodies every day to school. Often Emily points it out to Aaron warning him not to be the kid who is always wearing the same hoodie. As Aaron came out for church one day wearing the same white shirt he's worn for the past 3 months I comment). Aaron why don't you wear another one of your church shirts. You have more in your closet?

E: Yeah Aaron do you want to be that kid always wearing the same thing?

A: I already am THAT kid(February 2021)

S: (trying to solve that there is only 3 airheads and 4 kids problem). I have an idea. Aaron you can give Emily a little bit of your arrow head and Jane you can give Emily a little bit of your arrow head. That's a good solution.

M: What about you can you share some of your airhead?

S: (Bart and I arrived home from a date). Mom your home. How was your wedding?

M: (opened it and saw an empty roll of tape).

M: (coughing after choking on some water in the car)

J: Oh mom you've got to stop coughing or people will think you have covid.

M: It's not like you can just make yourself not cough.

J: I can. I guess you are just not at the level yet mom.

J: (coming down the stair the night after Zoey arrived and she saw that Zoey hadn't moved. She walked by me shaking her head). Mom what will the kids think?

S: (looking at his plate of unappetizing dinner). Mom you know how after I poop some of it is in my underwear and then my bum starts to itch.

M: Yeah

S: Well eating makes you poop so I'm not going to each anymore and then I won't poop and have an itchy bum.

M: And you will also starve to death

E: (Our Elf was discovered on the floor with Aaron as the culprit being the one who drug her around and left her in the middle of the floor. Emily was very distraught upon finding this Elf knowing that because she was touched she probably wouldn't be able to make it back to the North Pole). I just don't know what we are going to do about the Elf. It's not going to be able to go back to the North Pole again because it's in the middle of the floor and it will keep getting touched. (thinking) What can we do? I hate this but I think the only thing that can be done is to get rid of Aaron so the Elf won't be touched and can move again(Dec 2013)

J: (Emily found an old small stocking with her name on it so she put it next to her other one on the mantel. Jane noticed it a day or so later and said) Mom we have 2 Emily stockings and we need to take this one off. E: You know mom fast Sunday is just the same. It doesn't go any faster.
M: I know fast also means to go without food.

M: Well that's part of fasting learning to not whine when your hungry.
