Menchies cake for our Mencie

Our Spencer turned six.  All he wanted was a yummy yogurt Menchies Cake he had seen at Emily's work.   I think it's a waste of money to buy store cakes because I can make it so much easier and taste better.   But how can I say no to such a sweet face?   We went in after school one day that Emily was working  and I let him look through the book of ideas and Emily created a special order just for him.    He was so thankful and excited when she showed up with his batman cake.

We then opened presents as a family.  Spencer enjoyed all the family time!

60s vibe for Sadies

I think the minute prom was over Emily was talking about the next girls choice dance.   A huge factor is how to ask.   Emily always being next level chose a "Jesus theme."

She involved a few church friends worked on the outfit and poster at church during a Wed night Young Women's activity.

I then drove her to Alix's so she could complete the look.

Emily arrived at Henry's door dressed as Jesus with this cute sign.

He answered on her motel doorstop during her Cali trip

The theme was dress like the decades.  Emily chose this time to embrace the colorful 60's gal she's always wanted to be.

She and her friend Alix sewed a simple 60's dress one afternoon.

She, Alix and Brooke took the boys to an Escape Room.

Then they went back to Alix's house and got ready for pictures and dinner.    This cute girls nailed the makeup tutorials.

While waiting for their reservations at Texas Rhode House they went and found the Easter Bunny at the South Town Mall.

Her friends secretly told the servers it was Emily's birthday and she loved it when all the servers came and sang to her and gave her some ice cream.!!!

The girls made sure to leave plenty of time for these cute pictures taken on the north wall of the Traverse outlet mall in Lehi.

Disney Queen

Emily  has been saving and planning all year for this event.   Every few years the Alta High Music department takes their ensembles to a competition in Anaheim.      I was told that they played both at the competition and on stage at Disneyland but Disneyland fun was photographed.

Emily and Alix coordinated their bright pink comfy velour wear for the overnight bus ride and as always looked adorable.

They went straight off the long overnight bus ride into Disneyland for the day.  That's one of those things that should only be done as a teenager.

Day 2 was spent at California Adventure in the morning and then back to Disney.

Emily was great to keep my informed.   The package included a food card with $60 uploaded each day.   They decided to share their food and try just about everything.     All day long I would get these cute texts about what they were eating and how well they liked it.   I laughed at my Disneyland food influencer.

These ride photos   ðŸ˜„

We better not forget Emily little camera.   Emily will say there is just something about low quality prints with the wrong date.    One more reason she was born in the wrong decade.

The last day in California was spent performing at a local high school.  They then were escorted back into Disneyland to a big stage where they had a celebration with all the competitors and found out that the chamber orchestra took 1st place.  A great way to end a fabulous weekend.

Before heading home the group spent the morning at the beach.   Emily and a few friends rented a group petal bike and then promptly argued the whole time about who wasn't pulling their weight.
