Halloween 2022

Our family has a few constants during October.  

1.   A  family trip to Frightmares

Aaron begged and begged to try the hang time game.   Bart has a no spending money at Lagoon policy but Aaron was so convinced he could do it he was willing to fork out his own money to do it.   Spencer then wanted to be just like Aaron and to avoid problems I offered to pay for both of them. 

  

Aaron made it to the first prize a gatorade but was just a hair shy of making it to a 1 1/2 minutes to get himself a plush toy.   He later commented it was harder than it looked because the bar jiggled and it was hard to keep your grip.   Bart talked to him about how they set up these games with a bit of trickery so they don't have to give out as many prizes.  

  2.    Picking out their own costumes (with a little credit card help from me)

Aaron:  Rockin banana;   Emily:  Vectar from Despicable me;  Jane: Angel Cake;  Spencer:  Creeper from Minecraft. 

2.   Attending the chili cook off with our ward and our Bishopric going over the top with their costumes. 

This year they were the original monsters

3.  The Halloween parade at school

4.  Trick or treating with friends 
(missing is Emily who had a late night musical rehearsal)

Strawberry Shortcake and friends:  Jane was Angel cake, Mia Strawberry shortcake and Lydia was Ginger Snap.  

I drove Aaron and his friends to the 3 neighborhoods these kids live in.  SO MUCH CANDY and wrappers everywhere 

No picture of Spencer and his friends.   He ran off so fast because he was so happy to go off by himself this year like his siblings always do.   His friends dad even took them to another neighborhood (right of growing up passage in my kids brains)
