Isolation Gratification: Day 15

Projects are wonderful to distract the mind and keep the hours from seeming like days and the days from seeming like weeks.

Here are some of the projects my kids have been working on.


Emily's been wishing for a canopy over her bed since around 3rd grade.   It comes and goes on her wishlist but  she nor I have every found one we liked well enough to buy.  Emily took the initiative this last week and found a pinterest diy tutorial and despite me being a negative Nancy about the whole idea she by herself made her vision a reality.

Aaron seeing me doing some cross stitching wanted to learn how to sew.  I lacking patience said here is some needles, thread and some scrap cloth.    Aaron started with a blanket and pillow for his teddy bear and ended making these 2 pillows.    I can't believe how good he is with a needle,  he threads it and knots it himself.    He's such a calm collected kid when his hands are busy. 

Jane's had a lego set in her room since Christmas with little time to put it together.  She finally  holed away in her room  one afternoon and create her latest "clubhouse".
