Rewind.....

My kids were forced to get out the old dusty VHS's from days of old.  You see I cancelled cable and super fast speed internet for the summer.   My kids seemed to not mind going without cable until Bart started working from home and anytime any of us streamed anything during the day he would promptly appear from his cave and demand to know who was slowing down his internet.    My kids soon learned it was useless to try and stream anything.     At first I wanted to pull my hair out as my kids adjusted to having to entertain themselves and then it became amazing to see what life is like without screens!   So in honor of our "VHS" summer here is ours on rewind.....

At the beginning of the summer we as the Young Women Presidency gave out these charts to encourage the girls have a summer of Personal Improvement (Pie).  They earned pointed along the way that added up to earn pies to throw at the Bishopric. 

Lucky for us we have the nicest and most fun loving Bishopric around.  They really were good sports as the girls pounded them with pies. 

The project and night was a success.  It was fun to hear each girl tell what was the favorite activity or thing she said brought her closer to Christ and then to hear the shrieks of delight and laughs as they each took turns throwing the pies.
