Heaven

Emily noticed this engagement photo sitting on my cedar chest for the first time. She walked over to it and said, "This is you and this is daddy. Where are you?" I explained that we were in a photography studio right before we got married. She then said, "But where am I?" I told her she was still in heaven. Emily's lip quivered followed by a full stream of tears. In between sobs she exclaimed "I don't want to be in Heaven I always want to be with you."
I'll have to show her this post when she's a teenager and wants nothing to do with us.

First Play

My friend Annie starred and did a fabulous job in the play "Beauty and the Beast". Since Emily knows the story by heart I knew this would be a great introduction to the world of theater. Emily was captivated. I asked her what her favorite part was and she replied "When the Beast was fighting with the wolves in the forest."
Before the play with Emily's Aunt Suzanne.
I thought for sure Emily would be so excited to meet Belle in real life but either her shyness took over or it was just way past her bedtime but she did not want to pose for a picture.

Bytheway, I just got tickets for us to go the the "Lion King" at the Capitol Theater when it comes in August! Now I just need to track down the movie so Emily will be familiar with that story as well.

Joe and Raquel November 7, 2009

My baby sister got married last Saturday! It's weird to think of her as a married woman, but I'm sure she'll be so happy with Joe since he treats her like a queen. Since Raquel is my biggest blog fan this post is dedicated to her. Congratulations!

Boots

I was flipping through the pictures on my camera and noticed Emily snuck and took a picture of her new boots.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Emily got so much candy! She's enjoying taking off all the wrappers more than eating them. Jane discovered the unwrapped stash in Emily's Cardboard house. By the time I got to her she had three M&M's and two Starbursts in her mouth. The whole time we were trick or treating Jane was doing her Donald Duck. If I were to do it again I would have dressed her up as Donald Duck.
