Fall Friends Frenzy

 Emily is blessed with great friends and has so much fun with them,.  Lucky for this blog she takes pictures of everything she does with them.   

Emily and her bestie Alix:

These two have so much fun together and both have each others backs.  They go thrifty for old lady sweater jackets and come up with fun photo shots.  They get a kick out of making the ugliest faces in their pictures and have great confidence to joke about it with each other.   I love that Emily has such a good friend who they both support each other and don't cause drama in each others lives.

Hoco:

Emily and a few friends decided to go stag together to homecoming.  Emily's bestie Alix's mom did an excellent job taking photos before.   

Football games:   

Friday night football was back and Emily and her friends had a blast dressing up  and going to the games.   I never heard anything about how the game went and one time she called not long after I dropped them off to come pick them up because the game was being postponed due to rain and lightening.   I said you went to so much work putting on the makeup why don't you just wait it out in the gym.  Her reply.  "It's ok mom we already got the pictures we can leave now"

Young Women Friends: 

I adore all these girls Emily cherishes in my ward.   They cute, fun, talented and so inclusive of each other.   Halle takes Emily to school each day and the others are always finding ways to text and encourage each other.  They even spent a Sunday afternoon in the mountains taking adorable pictures.  

Every one else: 

Emily is always claiming she only has like 5 friends and is failing the popularity contest.   Someday she'll realize popularity in high school isn't what it seems like from the outside and all her orchestra, musical friends make up way more than 5.   I'm proud Emily gets along so well with others and is always finding ways to have a good time.  They even showed up on a day Emily was painting her room and together they got it done.   

Spongebob Square Pants the Musical

 Emily decided early on she wanted to try out for the musical.    I was all for it because I remember how much fun I had in High School.    As I picked up Emily and her friend Alix from try outs I asked them what they wanted to be and both smiled and said 'a part'   

On the way to Dark Valley on Labor Day Emily squealed with excitement when she found out she was cast as one of the electric skates.   In Emily's words "I get to be in a boy band and I get to skate around the stage"  I asked why boys aren't cast in the part as a boy band and Emily said because there is like 4 boys in the whole musical.     We joked for weeks about how she was going to make us a million dollars on America's Funniest Home Videos as she skates into the orchestra pit.   In classic Emily humor she said I might lose my life but it will be all worth it to if it makes you a ton of money.     

 Emily wasn't only memorizing her lines, skating around the neighborhood on her pink skates but she was constantly perfecting her make up to the point that her pink star around her eye refused to come off with make up removal but she didn't care it was the sacrifice one had to make for the show.   

As the days got closer to the musical Emily spent more and more time at the school rehearsing. 

A couple of days before the 1st show Emily and a couple of friends went to a high school in Lehi's performance of Spongebob.   Here she is with their electric skates.

Emily appreciated everyone that made the sacrifice to come to the musical.   Sarah, Luke, Bentley, Bryler, Bergen, Jane, Grandma Becky, me, Aaron and Spencer came on Friday night.   

Papa, Nona, Bart and Aaron went on the last night.    

I was exhausted just watching Emily burn both ends of the candle each day during Tech week and then during the performance nights and thought Emily might be relieved to have it over.  Not so, before the last performance Emily burst into tears saying how much she was going to miss spending every waking moment with all her friends in the cast.   Good thing there is next year.
